Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product design team in developing innovative design concepts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and sales
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Create and maintain design documentation and specifications
- Ensure design consistency and quality across all products
- Mentor and develop junior designers within the team
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record of successful product launches
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work and process
- Experience with 3D modeling and prototyping is a plus
- Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma)
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Experience in product development lifecycle
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a design team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
